Turrets are what you use to defend your assembly line. Since the new beta 3.4, there are 12 available turrets in the Weapons tab in the Blocks UI, with 6 different tiers.

Each turret has it's preferred kind of ammunition and it will only accept that material. It will then rotate towards the nearest enemy in range and fire upon that enemy, consuming ammo.
